Petaluma’s Legal Budget–Wasteful $$ Spending?
My review by no means constitutes a forensic audit. Frankly, I am not sure that one is required. However, I do recommend that the City set up a separate litigation tracking/reporting system to make sure that litigation costs don’t create an unpleasant surprise in the future.

City Budget Blues–Part III (It’s Gonna Get Worse)
As government at all levels continues to disintegrate and devolve, maintenance of public properties and provision of services will be further impaired. In addition, we will be left with less public service protection at all levels–state, county and local. In the ordinary course of events, this will mean longer service times for police, fire and ambulance calls. Some people will die as a consequence.
